Who pays for hospice care?

You want comfort and reassurance at this time, not worry and hassles about how to pay for your care. Hospice care is covered by Medicare, Medi-Cal and most private insurance plans. While intended to cover all expenses related to hospice care, these payments often fall short of the actual costs to provide care. Hospice of the Valley relies on the generous support of a community of donors to cover the shortfall. Because we are a mission-driven, non-profit organization, we believe everyone deserves the right to comfort and dignity at the end of life. Therefore, Hospice of the Valley ensures all families receive expert, quality, compassionate care and support, regardless of ability to pay.
