What are the end-of-life stages?
Most people have little experience in dealing with an end-of-life journey. You aren’t sure what to expect, and can feel unprepared for the daily challenges it can bring. Hospice of the Valley offers invaluable support for every member of the family so they, too, can make the most of every moment:
- Our experienced social workers and spiritual care team help each family member work through their specific worries and fears.
- Our hospice aides and registered nurses make respite time possible for caregivers, whether for a few hours or even several days.
- Our registered nurses teach family members helpful tips so they become more confident and relaxed caregivers.
- Our volunteers often become trusted friends and confidants, people who truly understand what you’re going through and know how to help.
Our nurse was great. She knew everything that was happening and gave me good advice just at the right time. She was very perceptive about what I was feeling. – D.M.
