Innovations in End-of-life Care
Hospice of the Valley is a forward-thinking, innovative healthcare organization that applies more than 30 years of experience and expertise to provide leading hospice care and support. We constantly seek out new and original ways to ensure patients and their families fulfill their end-of-life goals and wishes.
As a thought leader and expert in palliative and end-of-life care, Hospice of the Valley places value on continuous learning and sharing through professional education and networking events such as Compassion in Action, an annual conference offered in collaboration with Santa Clara University, and Hospice Foundation of America’s (HFA) Annual Living with Grief program which we host locally. Beyond grief, HFA’s program addresses important aspects of end-of-life care such as spirituality and ethics. A priority for Hospice of the Valley is to connect physicians and other health professionals to journal articles and studies that advance end-of-life care and to demonstrate our leadership in end-of-life care on local, regional and national levels.
In mid-2013, Hospice of the Valley opened the first free-standing outpatient center in California specifically dedicated to providing palliative care. The Palliative Care Center Silicon Valley is now open and accepting new patients.
