Community Engagement Manager

The Community Engagement Manager is an essential team member of the integrated revenue-generating department. S/he is charged with overseeing the implementation and evaluation of organizational community engagement activities, including Community Life, business development and outreach, educational programs, special events and other efforts to meet strategic objectives in support of Hospice of the Valley’s mission. The objective of the Community Engagement Manager is to increase awareness and overall census for Hospice of the Valley, including researching individual, corporate and foundation sponsorship prospects, and providing donor relations support for the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of applicable experience.
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written.
  • Familiar with all aspects of community engagement including strategic partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Passion for building and maintaining strong and productive relationships with community, dignitaries, special guests and outside organizations as well as with staff and volunteers.
  • Hardworking self-starter able to anticipate needs, discern work priorities and meet deadlines with little supervision.
  • Willingness to flex schedules to work evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Ability to work in an environment that demands flexibility and decisiveness.
  • Leader/manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Overall Proficient skill-level in Microsoft Office, which includes: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and basic computer concepts.

Physician Service Representative

The Physician Service Representative supports the organization by disseminating information regarding Hospice of the Valley and the Palliative Care Center Silicon Valley, and building relationships with healthcare providers that result in the organizational attainment of admission and patient service goals. Actively supports and promotes the hospice’s vision, mission and overall philosophy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nursing, Education or comparable work experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a customer service or sales capacity.
  • Ability to work in an environment that requires flexibility, decisiveness, and excellent communication skills in writing as well as verbally.
  • Proficient skill using a computer is required; Microsoft Office Suite experience required with willingness to learn new applications as applicable.
  • Knowledge and experience of hospice electronic medical record system required.
