Hospice of the Valley (HOV) is a non-profit, public-benefit hospice agency which raises a significant portion of its annual budget to support many of its programs and services. Through the generosity of donors, HOV is able to provide hospice and bereavement services to all in the community, regardless of ability to pay, and to offer innovative programs like Transitions to help those facing serious illness and the end of life.

Hospice, palliative care, and bereavement support are services everyone in our community needs at some point. Your financial contribution to HOV will help us continue to make our programs and services available to everyone in Santa Clara County.

Current Costs of Care:
As the costs of health care in our country rise exponentially, reimbursement rates from Medicare or MediCal fall further behind the true expenses of hospice care. Hospice includes expert care from a skilled team of specialists: physicians, nurses, medical social workers, chaplains, home health aides and grief and loss therapists. Moreover, necessary medical equipment and the many medications needed to keep a patient free of pain and comfortable are also rising in cost.

"Heart of Compassion" Benefit Art
Internationally collected "Heartist" Debbie Marie Arambula is offering limited edition "Heart of Compassion" art to benefit Hospice of the Valley. This original 36"x 36" painting from Debbie's "Labyrinth of Love" series was exclusively created to celebrate the spirit of Hospice and raised $3,000 for Hospice of the Valley at our annual Western Gala in May. In her efforts to continue to support Hospice of the Valley, Debbie is offering limited edition of 100 art canvases which is available in three sizes. For every purchase, Debbie will donate 20% of the proceeds to Hospice of the Valley. For more information or to make a purchase, visit www.aheartforhospice.com.
