Looking for a guest speaker for your next meeting or to participate in your health fair or other events?
“…a most inspiring presentation. It is invaluable information regarding a sensitive subject that was delivered with such compassion, yet laced with humor…” - An attendee
Contact Hospice of the Valley (HOV) to participate in your next community event, health fair or to obtain a speaker for an upcoming function. Presentations are tailored to respond to the interests and needs of your particular group and are modified to accommodate your meeting or event schedule. We are often asked to speak at United Way sponsored events, corporations, churches, Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs, schools, senior community centers, men and women clubs, local unions and with families and individuals.
Today, we are all living longer, and today many baby boomers are helping to care for their elderly parents, other family members or relatives with end-of-life issues and searching for the means to help them with a higher quality of life.
Transitions volunteers can help those with a life-limiting illness of twelve months or less with assistance in many ways even as they continue treatment. However, when curative treatment is no longer an option and aggressive comfort care becomes the primary focus, hospice care can help.

Our Speakers
Hospice of the Valley’s Speakers Bureau is comprised of trained and dedicated board members, staff, Service League and volunteers.
Members are poised and prepared to speak to groups with various levels of knowledge and different interests. Our speakers understand people’s reluctance to hear end-of-life issues, let alone discuss it and are sensitive and poised to respond accordingly. Our speakers are able to take a difficult and sensitive subject and make it humorous, interesting, touching and compelling.
