Donor Relations Manager

The Donor Relations Manager is an essential team member of the Development Communications revenue-generating department at Hospice of the Valley.  The functions of the Donor Relations Manager are to oversee Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge system, all direct mail campaigns, including planning and implementation of solicitation strategies that generate financial support for Hospice of the Valley and manage the Development Communication budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in addition to 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge.
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written.
  • The confidence and experience to create and deliver on fundraising programs and initiatives.
  • Entrepreneurial with experience in fundraising and revenue development. 
  • Ability to work in an environment that demands flexibility and decisiveness.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, including ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Demonstrates a can-do strong team spirit.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of the hospice concept of care.
  • Overall Proficient skill-level in Microsoft Office, which includes: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and basic computer concepts.

Marketing Communications Manager

The Marketing Manager function at Hospice of the Valley is charged with developing, establishing, and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives in support of Hospice of the Valley’s mission, including effective management of marketing, advertising and promotional activities (traditional, social media, online and Web site).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public relations or related field, in addition to 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in marketing communications production and distribution.
  • Innovative and creativity in marketing strategies.
  • Ability to work in an environment that demands flexibility and decisiveness.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, including ability to manage multiple projects.
